Featuring “Untitled”, “TAKE ME TO THE SUN”, & “Messages Out-of-Context”

“Untitled” is the residue of creation, a walnut ink-stained drop cloth CMMN CENTS laid out while making homemade walnut ink and wood stain from walnuts he harvested in Holtwood, Pennsylvania. The walnut dyes were used by artists and woodworkers around the country. This piece is on cloth and framed in blue paint on wall.

”Take Me to the Sun” is a newfound exploration in creating contemporary art as an art director for My True Crime Story Season 2 on VH1.

Messages Out-of-Context” is a project created by recycled text messages sent and received, pasted onto photographs CMMN CENTS captured over the years because he thought they were too beautiful to be deleted. The project is named “Messages Out-of-Context” because that’s simply what it is.
